Stromal organization of a subcutaneous tumor obtained by the co-injection of prostate carcinoma cells (PC3 cells) and "prostate-activated fibroblasts". A desmoplastic response surrounding tumor cells rich in a neovasculature (A); and some tumor cells in a large capillary enclosed in a dense collagenous stroma infiltrated by inflammatory cells (B) (Mallory's trichrome).
