The potential of TSCM for ACT. The limited adoptively transferred T cells inevitably experience apoptosis and exhaustion. Conventional infused effector T cells demonstrate transient cytotoxicity due to lack of complement, whereas infused TSCM cells induced by the four γc family cytokines continually self-renew and produce enough effectors to mount a robust and persistent immune attack.
