Proposed model for the role of Prx II in regulating exosome secretion from DMSCs. Prx II deletion results in a decrease in Foxo1 level in the nucleus by downregulating JNK activity. This decrease increases the expression of miR-221, which negatively regulates the expression of STAT1 and STAT2 to induce ISGylation, promoting exosome secretion from DMSCs
