Augurin suppresses the BC200 lncRNA/MMP-9 and -13 signaling pathway. Forced expression of augurin down-regulates the expression of the BC200 lncRNA and matrix metalloproteinases MMP-9 and MMP-13, resulting in inhibition of cell migration/invasion and proliferation [48]. The molecular mechanisms underlying the augurin-mediated regulation of this signaling cascade, including the receptor through which augurin functions, remain largely unknown
