From: The mitochondrial Ahi1/GR participates the regulation on mtDNA copy numbers and brain ATP levels and modulates depressive behaviors in mice

Fig. 2

Mitochondrial Ahi1 interacted with GR and regulated ATP levels. Ahi1 antibody and control IgG antibody were used for immunoprecipitation in the mitochondria of mouse hypothalamus (HY), and Ahi1-interacting proteins were examined by Western blotting with anti-Ahi1 and anti-GR. Representative images are shown (a). PC12 cells were treated with Dex (20 μM) for 72 h. Ahi1 and GR were detected in the mitochondria by Western blotting. N = 6 cell samples (b, c). The expression of mitochondrial Ahi1 protein in PC12 cells treated with Dex for 72 h was detected by immunofluorescent staining (d). Scale bar = 20 μm. PC12 cells were treated with Dex (20 μM) with or without mifepristone (20 μM) for 72 h, and ATP content was assayed. N = 6 cell samples (e). **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001, ****P < 0.0001
