As a result of their potential effect on RNR-catalyzed reaction, a reaction that uses GSH to convert NTPs to dNTPs for DNA synthesis, DHODH inhibitors could increase the intracellular level of GSH. Furthermore, under Warburg effect condition, they could inhibit the ETC and O2− generation. How this affect the onset of ferroptosis and drug efficacy needs to be investigated
