Notch pathway amplifies intrinsic noise by interactions that improve the efficiency of global protein synthesis. System-level interactions of Notch pathway lead to enhanced availability of Myc. Global amplification of protein synthesis following upregulated activity of Myc amplifies noise by distorting the stoichiometric relationship between transcripts and associated proteins
