Table 2 CXCL12 effect on invasion by colon cancer cells

From: Fibroblast-derived CXCL12 regulates PTEN expression and is associated with the proliferation and invasion of colon cancer cells via PI3k/Akt signaling

Cell line Relative number of invading cells (%)
Untreated with FB CXCL12 (ng/ml)
1 10 100
HT-29 100 ± 9.2 136.2 ± 10.3* 112.3 ± 8.60 132.7 ± 11.3* 162.0 ± 13.4*
CaCo-2 100 ± 11.5 139.3 ± 11.7* 109.3 ± 11.4 136.9 ± 10.5* 152.0 ± 13.9*
Colo320 100 ± 11.1 143.5 ± 12.9* 107.5 ± 10.0 127.5 ± 12.9* 148.4 ± 17.5*
  1. NOTE: Colon cancer cells were treated with different concentrations of CXCL12 and incubated for 24 h. Cell invasion was then measured by the Matrigel assay. Statistical significance was tested by one-way ANOVA followed by the Dunnett test. Statistical significance was inferred if p < 0.05. All data are expressed as mean ± s.d. *p < 0.01 when compared with untreated cells
