TNF-α-induced cell fusion depends on the activation of the NF-κB pathway. Cells were treated with TNF-α (100 ng/ml) and either IκBα inhibitor Bay11–7082 (Bay) or NF-κB inhibitor PDTC for 72 h. The results are shown as the means ± STD of at least three independent experiments. Statistical analysis: ANOVA F-test and Scheffé post hoc test: * = p < 0.05; ** = p < 0.01; *** = p < 0.001
