Genetic deletion of PTP1B mimics the effects of depleting Nck1 on Akt phosphorylation and pY protein levels. (A) Total cell lysates prepared from PTP1B+/+ and PTP1B+/+ MEFs were subjected to immunoblot with indicated antibodies. Data are representative of three independent experiments showing similar results. (B) PTP1B+/+ and PTP1B+/+ MEFs were treated with or without 100 μm of PV for 5 min before harvesting.
