“The good guy”: miR-125b associated with tumor suppressive signaling in cancer. MiR-125b deletions, DNA hypermethylation and androgen signaling have been described to reduce miR-125b expression. This in turn causes the upregulation of multiple target mRNAs which might promote the formation of the indicated tumor types. Only the best characterized miR-125b target mRNAs are listed.
