PA protects L6 myotubes from TNFα-induced atrophy. (A) Differentiated myotubes were left untreated, or treated with 100 μM PA, or with a combination of 15 ng/ml TNFα and 100 μM PA. Myotube area was then assessed. Results are shown as means ± SE of n = 10 fields. (B) Myotubes left untreated, or treated with 100 μM PA, or with a combination of 15 ng/ml TNFα and 50 or 100 μM PA, were used to measure CK activity.
