Mitophagy and tumor immune escape. Mitophagy plays an important role in regulating immune response against cancer. Mitophagy induction in STAT3 deleted cancer cells increases antigen presentation for DCs and T cell activation. In addition, PINK1/PARK2 or FUNDC1-mediated mitophagy promotes clearance of damaged mitochondria leading to increased antitumor immune response
