Zymography approach showing the increase in MMPs activity upon CD44 up-regulation. a MCF7-B5-CD146 cells were cultured in the absence (−Dox) and presence of Hyaluronan (+HA) to stimulates CD44 expression. Cell lysates were collected and tested for the activity of MMP-2 (a), MMP-9 (b) at 0, 24 and 48 h upon CD44 up-regulation. Shown are the cropped blot images representing indicated proteins activity, and all the gels have been run under the same experimental conditions. The difference is considered statistically significant (student’s two-tailed t-test, ***P < 0.001)
